Ambrian Capital plc (“Ambrian Capital”), the natural resources investment bank, today announces that Richard Chase has been appointed as Managing Director of Ambrian Partners Limited, its Corporate Finance and Equities subsidiary.
Tom Gaffney becomes Chairman of Ambrian Partners Limited and Lawrence Banks becomes a Non-Executive Director. All appointments are effective from 1 October 2009.
“Richard has been instrumental in building Ambrian Partners into London’s number one firm in the small- and mid-cap mining sector,” said Tom Gaffney, Chief Executive of Ambrian Capital. “In his new role, he will take responsibility for further strengthening our market position and leading the next stage in the growth of Ambrian Partners.”
Richard Chase joined Ambrian Partners in 2003 as Head of Research, becoming a Director in 2006 and Chief Operating Officer in 2007. Prior to entering the City in 2000, Richard spent nine years as a geologist involved in the exploration, evaluation and start-up of various mines across a range of commodities. Richard holds a first class honours degree in Geology and an MSc in Mineral Exploration from the University of Rhodes, South Africa.
